China Airlines upgrades inflight entertainment with e-library service

China Airlines has upgraded its in-flight entertainment with an e-library service.

Travelers can now use smart phones and other personal electronic devices to download over a hundred newspapers, magazines and other publications from the Dynasty Sky Reading platform integrated into the CAL mobile app.

Travelers simply need to log-in with their membership, reservation or ticket number to establish their own personal e-library. Favorite books and publications can be selected as desired, eliminating the burden of carrying physical copies onboard.

Over a hundred of the latest newspapers and magazines are available in Dynasty Sky Reading and publications are in various languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic and Vietnamese.

Unlimited download of all publications in Dynasty Sky Reading is open to all travelers before their journey.

Business Class, Paragon and Emerald members can use the service from five days before the flight, while Premium Economy and Gold members as well as Economy Class and Dynasty flyer can start downloading from 48 and 24 hours before their flight respectively.

China Airlines also thoughtfully extended the reading time to including transit and arrival time. Travelers can continue to browse the Sky Reading library for 48 hours after their arrival offering the greatest value in the industry.

SkyTeam members and travelers from partner airlines that make use of the VIP Lounges at Taoyuan and Kaohsiung airports in Taiwan can also read books and magazines through Dynasty Sky Reading.

There are no limits on how many publications a traveler can download prior to their flight.
