Conrad Tokyo launches dog-friendly accommodation plan, ‘Paws of Luxury’

Conrad Tokyo is now able to cater to the requirements of dog lovers who wish to travel with their pets, with the launch of its pet-friendly accommodation plan, "Paws of Luxury."

Accommodation options for traveling with pets in Japan have tended to be limited to outer suburban areas, where standards of luxury may fall short of expectations. Conrad Tokyo has listened carefully to many dog lovers who are seeking an enjoyable stay with their pets in the city center, and focused on the specific luxurious requirements for ensuring staying with your pet will be a highly memorable experience.

The hotel will welcome your dog as one of its important customers. For example, dog cookies made by the pastry chef are prepared as welcome amenities in your room. Food and water bowls and a toilet area are provided for the comfort of your pet, and orders can be placed from a dog room service menu devised by the head chef.

How about celebrating your dog’s birthday with a special cake for this exceptional occasion?

In addition, Conrad Tokyo original dog beds are available in rooms. In collaboration with France Bed Co Ltd, the hotel has designed — from the structure to the selection of the mattress and fabrics — a pet bed with a stylish black and gold finish, exclusively for this accommodation plan.

Sale period: From Sept 1 until June 30, 2022

The plan: Bay view room (48 square meters) or bay view suite (72 square meters) for one night

  • You accept Conrad Tokyo’s Pet Accommodation Stay Agreement.
  • Pets staying at the hotel must have been vaccinated within one year, weigh less than 15 kg, and must be carried in a covered container such as a carry bag or cage while within public areas of the hotel. Please check the official website (Japanese) for details.

Price: 1 room for 2 people + 1 pet, from 50,368 yen.

Reservations and inquiries: Website bookings (Japanese) or call 03-6388-8000.

What about the noise from constant yapping little dogs when the owners go out? Will the dogs be allowed in the restaurant and bar areas? Ofuro?

So, only teeny tiny dogs.

Why anyone would want to take a dog to Tokyo in the first place beats me.

I won't go to Conrad anymore. I don't like dogs.

Clearly you're not their target market. So I'm not sure why they would care about your comment.

Yet again a fail. So I can travel with my dog but not my dog and my wife and kid? Because it's 2 people and a dog. These plans are designed by people who don't have a clue.
