Now it seems that Delta doesn't want to start its Haneda flights until March 2011!!

I simply have to thank Delta airlines for their route additions. My fiance is simply pleased that he can get a flight out of Kanku airport straight to the USA other than United Airlines.

I must admit, I can't remember the last time I flew Delta. Always using JAL, unfortunately I'm stuck with AA, which is leaves so much to be desired.

@kawachi: Delta start flying to Detroit and LA daily (or nightly, whicjever you want to look at it) from the very end of October.

@kolohe: It doesn't say Delta is adding flights at Haneda next month. It says "Haneda has long served as a domestic airport but is adding international flights, starting next month." They are not the same thing.

I have flown Delta Business Class three times this year, on intra-asia routes. Wheras I agree that SQ and CX offer a auperior service in this class of travel, I founf Delta a very pleasant experience. Their fares are also very good in Business Class, 165,000 to HK, 145,000 to Manila etc. Very competitive. Although it may interest people that SQ have an offer from the beginning of November through to Mid December, 198,000 return on the new business class to Singapore. Very competitive.

Delta will start its Haneda services Jan. 29, 2011 and not next month as the story indicated.
As for the comments about service, I flew on DL for the first time in two years and found the service excellent, staff very friendly and food was great. It has really improved.

Delta may feel upbeat, but most educated consumers are still downbeat about the quality of service and staff of any US transpacific carrier...
I'd fly an Asian carrier such as SQ, NH, CX, JL etc., over UA, AA or DL when given the choice.
