It's a good idea. Now if they can only prevent the sound of screaming kids from entering the restricted zone...

Fantastic, sounds great to me. Too many parents these days allow their small kid to act in an obnoxious manner.

They whole families should be banned and fined if they disrupt people so much, same as if adults do the same.

Granted, it can be almost impossible to controle bies and toddlers and that should be taken into consideration. If the parents try their best ok, but there is a new trend of inconsiderate parents who think the child shouldn’t be told off and should ‘express itself’ . They don’t consider the other paying passengers.

There are too many adults who don't behave like adults.

Yes, it’s true and they shill be banned and possibly fined for bad behaviour.

You are more like to find a better class of person though, especially if the cost is higher. Generally the thugs go for the cheapest options you see

It's not the kids. It's the families who sit together and get drunk that are the worst. Flying in to Haneda recently there was a family of 7 from gran down to university Tommy (real name) and his gf.

They all got plastered on gin and tonics and sang God Save the King which made the journey uncomfortable! How embarrassing for them. At least choose a better drink and stop singing football songs.

I like the idea, good and common sense.

I don’t like the ‘hefty extra charge’ bit.

It could be a good idea, but only the numbers using this will prove if its profitable. Now if only they could do something similar in supermarkets, I used my local one last Monday and the noise from children was horrendus, and then there was the constant running around and being bumped into. I only did half of my shopping but had to leave, and even in the till/payment area it was even worse. What a nightmare.

I very rarely have any problem about young kids. The real problem is the entitled older men.

Kids generally get quiet after a while.

If they kick the backseat, just ask nicely the parents

The problem is never the children.

On my recent travels I experienced the adult idiot who didn't pay extra for seat choice but wanted to move people around, another adult idiot who reclined his seat into a woman's face even before takeoff, and an adult idiot who thought it was a good idea to start an argument with security check in Dubai.

If you can't handle children then don't travel.

Actually more troublesome than noisy kids is the obese who take up more than their seat. They should be made to pay for two seats so they don’t disrupt the person next to them. Why should they pay the same as decent people when we have to pay excess charges of luggage is too heavy.
