“The sector’s recovery will be delayed even further, with more jobs lost, unless quarantines are replaced with rapid, cost-effective testing at airports on departure, and air corridors,"

Totally agree here, we cannot this industry completely drown - its nearly there even with Go To Campaign which is only providing some oxygen.

If done with proper measures and tests we should resume traveling in an orderly and responsible way.

After all, what is the difference between someone who takes a flight from Osaka to Tokyo to someone who takes a flight from Auckland to Tokyo?

The difference is that one is tested before and upon arrival, the other is not.

Nobody needs herds of tourists. It's not good for many reasons.

The difference is that the person taking a flight from Osaka - Tokyo is probably a 1000 times more likely to be infected than the one from Auckland - Tokyo.
