Great Tulip Festival in Huis Ten Bosch

Huis Ten Bosch, which is a theme park located in Nagasaki Prefecture, is holding the Great Tulip Festival until April 8 when 300,000 tulips are in full bloom. The theme park features Dutch-style buildings.

During the festival, there are three spots to view beautiful tulips. First, the Island of Windmills and Flowers. The tulip-covering area of Kinderdijk this year is 1.5 times bigger than last year. Second, the Flower Palace features gardens colored with a variety of colorful tulips. Third, Tulip Square. The Binnenstad area, the center of the Kingdom of the Flowers, is also covered with tulips this year.

In addition to the tulip viewing, there are flower parades, flower markets on March 31 and April 7, and illuminations each night.

Wow, that looks so pretty! Too bad Nagasaki is far from Tokyo.

I wish I could see it as well. Too bad it is indeed far from Tokyo and I will be in Japan when it would be already over. But then again, it is ironic as I see Dutch scenery every time I go to university, though there are sadly no large fields of flowers/tulips. For seeing beautiful/tons of flowers I advice people to go to Keukenhof (of course when flowers are blooming)
