Hainan Airlines has launched thrice weekly flights between Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province in southern China, and Osaka, Japan.
Hainan Airlines will operate the route with Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Flights are scheduled to take off from Haikou (HAK) at 08:40 and land in Osaka at 13:40. The return flight is timed to leave Osaka at 14:40 and arrive in Haikou at 19:15.
Hainan province is aiming to attract 2 million international visitor arrivals by 2020.
From Haikou, Hainan Airlines already operates international flights to Melbourne, Rome, Singapore and Sydney.
