Hong Kong Airlines resumes flights to Okinawa and Sapporo

Hong Kong Airlines has resumed flights to Okinawa and Sapporo, after a hiatus of two years caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The airline is initially operating both routes with thrice weekly flights but has indicated that it expects this to increase to daily, for both destinations, in December.

Louis Li, Vice President at Hong Kong Airlines, said, “We are excited to resume direct flights to both Okinawa and Sapporo, adding these charming ports to our recovering network and offering our customers more travel options. With the anticipated increasing travel demands, we are looking to add more flights to both cities as well as other destinations we fly to.”

Earlier this month, Hong Kong Airlines launched a co-branded travel kit in partnership with biotech company Raze and distributed a set to each passenger flying on the first flight to Okinawa.

The special Raze Sanitizing Travel Kit (pictured) featured four Raze x Hong Kong Airlines 3-ply antibacterial masks, along with a sanitizing spray and sanitizing wipes.
