Basically, I have no travel plan overseas this summer.

Many countries have too confusing Corona Entry Rules and it is too troublesome to check hundreds of websites for information to understand these rules.

So I decided to spend my summer vaccation inside Japan.

Probably going to Kyushu.

Japan has such a wide variety of locations there's no need to go overseas. Also Go To Travel might start again so you might as well make the most of it

Yeah, stay domestic and enjoy the lack of foreign tourists while it lasts. Reminds me of the 90s and early 00s when I first came and it was be rare to spot other foreigners outside (or even inside) big cities. Certainly lots of places to go.

As far as Go To, I heard they don't intend to re-launch the national campaign and instead gave the funding to prefectures for them to do their own Go To. But some only offer deals to local travelers from within the same prefecture and/or neighboring prefectures. Just depends on the area.

I do not plan any trips anywhere, except to Japan, to see my son. Today is already April 17th 2022 , it is Easter and Canada has not end the travel rules for the unvaccinated, this rule is also for travelling inside Canada, not allowed on a train or a flight.

And when I will be allowed to go travel, I assure you that my savings will be spend outside Canada.

When it actually happens then you know it happened.
