"The CDC has not recommended the use of masks by the general public."

The CDC obviously has no influence in Japan.

The CDC obviously has no influence in Japan.

because most use them for hay fever here. i have actually seen very few face masks in the last weeks now the season is over.

Japanese do need to learn how to sneeze and cough without showering everyone in germs though

There is a reason why all those health workers wear masks. -You need to be wearing a mask in these highly contaminated areas x2 if you are old/frail etc. Many airlines have drastically cut travel to Mexico and coming back you may even be quarantined for a time = you need to factor more time into these trips.

=still doable but you need to take the necessary precautions and extra time. Eventually you may see quarantines on all trips! With the older population in Japan a deadly flu could be disasterous.

Yet you will ALSO find doctors or nurses in some hospitals are wearing better masks to also the best of goggles. So they are trying not to catch the flu & not to touch in the eye area, which so many of us automatically do

"AVOID ALL NON ESSENTIAL TRAVEL TO MEXICO" if the CDC is warning us like this, my guess is that a summer vacation to Mexico should not be included as an "essential travel" and that people who do not follow these warnings will only endanger themselves and others. Now Cuba, Argentina, Bolivia, etc...have cancelled all flights to and from Mexico.

Masks are only of any use if they are the super duper doctor type. The ordinary types that japanese wear just make you laugh!

The CDC has not recommended the use of masks by the general public. >Swine flu is thought to be transmitted by touching something with the >virus and then passing it to the nose or mouth or through coughing or >sneezing

Am I the only one who noticed that above sentece makes no sense?
