It is clear this will increase the number of cases, but hopefully not to the point of needing a new round of restrictions, we will see in the following weeks if the decision was correct or not.

A good thing is that at least some restrictions are still left in place, the population most at risk will still have reasons to worry and take some extra precautions, but at least they are not left completely unprotected.

Great news! I can't wait to visit Greece this year!

Good to see some, if not most countries now starting to see some common sense. Unfortunately, with Japan not being one of them, it still isn't going to make much difference to me - I'm not going abroad, especially for a holiday with kids in tow, only to come back and have to go through all of that nonsense hoop-jumping at the Japanese border.

Here in the UK (England) life has pretty much returned to pre-pandemic levels. Only medical establishments require you to wear a mask. The majority of my friends and family have had Covid most having had the Omicron variant. Its very much on retreat now.

It's probably to late for this year but as a frequent tourist to Japan, 4 times now hopefully Japan will be open for tourists soon. May is our favourite time to visit we were due to come in May 2020!

Oh goodie. And look at that - not a mask in sight! Time to book tickets.
