pack a suitcase and it's like paddington bear

When I first heard about this, I thought it was idiotic. Then I read this,

A client asked me to take her companion up some stairs and walk through narrow streets she can’t go into with her wheelchair. Another client wanted her animal to get a lot of sunshine as she can’t go outside because of a skin disease.

It does provide a service to make people feel happy so I changed my mind.

I like harmless fun and it makes people happy. Seems like a lot of work and planning goes into a tour.

Wh does everything have to be grownup and dead serious?

Whatever. As long as people are willing to pay for such services, they will exist. Personally, I left my teddy bears when I was about 6 years old, if not younger.

Didn't Stephen Colbert make fun of it before?

In a free society, people should be able to do what they want, as long as they dont unduly hurt other people.

Nutters! But hey if it makes them happy and they have spare loot then it's their call. I would rather give the money directly to somebody needy and put a real smile on their face, but that's just me.

Amelie has a lot to answer for.

I'm 63. I collect teddy bears. I also miss Japan badly. I would seriously consider the service could I afford it. I may never be able to get back to Japan, but a few photos of my favorite bear would be a nice remembrance. This young woman has found a great way to make a living that makes people happy. She's to be commended.

I came to say, "that's not a teddy bear! That's kitty chan with her ears pinned back or cut off!!"

I'll stay to add, .... If I stuff my mobile phone inside, will it give me a good alibi for the crimes I commit while it's travelling around the country?

I've seen this story before on NHK World.
