Jetstar Asia/Valuair remove fuel surcharges

Singapore-based low cost airline, Jetstar Asia/Valuair has said it has adjusted pricing across its network, by removing all fuel surcharges in response to the lower fuel prices.

Jetstar Asia/Valuair says it removed fuel surcharge on all its network. This includes Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Macau, Manila, Medan, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Surabaya, Taipei and Yangon.

Fuel surcharges to fares across the Jetstar brands and flying networks from within Asia and Australia including Jetstar Asia, Valuair, Jetstar and Jetstar Pacific operations, have also been removed.

Chong Phit Lian, CEO, Jetstar Asia/Valuair said, "We are committed to offer the lowest all inclusive fares to our passengers. All our fares are covered by our Price Beat Guarantee in which we will beat any fare on the same route at a similar time with another carrier by 10% should it be lower than the advertised fare on Jetstar.com. With the drop in fuel prices, we want to pass on this savings to our customers by removing all fuel surcharges. This also once again demonstrates our commitment to maintain our market position of delivering every day value for money fares to our customers."

I checked the BA fare and the total comes up to something like 98,000 yen with all taxes.
