Jetstar launches Osaka-Taipei-Singapore flights

Low fares leader Jetstar this week launched its first daily service between Osaka (Kansai International Airport) and Taipei and then onwards to Singapore, operated by Jetstar’s Singapore-based carrier, Jetstar Asia.

In the three years since Jetstar first began operating Osaka-Australia routes in March 2007, the airline has continually grown as a market leader, now operating up to 32 weekly return services from Japan. These new international operations from Osaka to Taipei and Singapore further expand Jetstar’s international network, providing greater connectivity between Japan, Southeast Asia and Oceania.

now how about Tokyo to Singapore. United Service Sucks and ANA is just too expensive.

Delta runs a fairly cheap flight, but the return trip leaves SIN at the break of dawn.

Have you guys seen the published fares on these routes? They're VERY low. Kansai to Taipei is only 12,000 Yen and Osaka-Singapore is 28,000 Yen. Kind of crazy where a published fare ticket to Taipei is cheaper than a ticket to Tokyo!!

the fares seem cheap, that is cause the lowest fares are based on carryon luggage only, and no entertainment or food included, if you want it included, then you pay the extra charges also their check in times are more tighter than usual well at least for their australia flights,,,,

How are you getting to Kansai Airport and back then? By my guess a round trip to Kansai Airport via Shin-Osaka works out at about 32,000 yen. Really worth all that hassle?

The only reason why they go via Taipei is because the narrow body A320 jet can't make the 6 hour flight without refueling.

Reminds of me the good 'ole days of long trips on the DC-8 and B707s

Ask Jetstar's parent Qantas to stop codesharing with JAL on the route.
