The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) has named Jetstar the “CAPA Low Cost Airline of the Year” in the Asia Pacific region for the second consecutive year. It is the third time the value-based carrier has won the prestigious aviation award since its operational launch in May 2004 and subsequent large expansion of both short and long haul low fare services.
Jetstar Chief Executive Officer Bruce Buchanan said the CAPA award recognized Jetstar’s continued focus on innovations and growth of the Jetstar brand and product offering. "Over the last 12 months, we have continued to grow our low fares offering to not only more Australians with more services and routes, but have introduced the Jetstar low fares brand to new exciting markets in Japan and Vietnam,” he said.

I'm not surprised - my return tickets for this Saturday cost all up AU$500 (5 man before the exchange rate when crazy). Go Jetstar! I'll happily take my own food for that price.
