House of KI NO BI, where you can enjoy the world of KI NO BI, the first dry gin made in Kyoto, opened on June 17. The interior of the house, designed in collaboration with local Kyoto craftsmen, features hand-made Japanese zelkova furniture by Mori no Kobo, which has a workshop in Kyoto, textiles by Hosoo and paper by KIRA KARACHO, a company that makes traditional paper printed by wooden blocks.

According to the Kyoto Distillery Co, dry gin is created with Japanese botanicals such as yellow yuzu from the north of Kyoto Prefecture, hinoki wood chips (Japanese cypress), bamboo, gyokuro tea from the Uji region and green sansho (Japanese peppercorn) berries.

The first floor, which is 140 square meters, has a shop that sells store-only products. There is also KI NO BI no Ma — a restaurant that serves several cocktails based on KI NO BI, local sake and local beer in Kyoto, as well as light snacks.

The food menu offers obanzai (Kyoto vegetables and seafood).

The Gin Palace is a membership bar inspired by the 19th century Victorian era bars, with classic cocktails and vintage liqueurs.

On the 67-square-meter second floor is a space where you can see the history, types and manufacturing process of gin. The Konwa no Ma (blending room) can be used as a seminar room where you can learn about the six elements that form the seasonal beauty and blending.
