Korean Air has completed an extensive upgrade of its website and mobile app.
The ticket reservation process has been simplified and made easier for customers to use. A new option showing the lowest ticket prices for a customer’s desired destination over a range of dates has also been added.
Another new function of the website is the “save to cart” option. This allows a customer to continue with their reservation and not have to start all over again when leaving and returning to the page. Itineraries can also be shared with others through email or KakaoTalk - a popular instant messaging app in South Korea.
Using mileage has also become much easier in the new website. In the past, when using mileage for upgrades, the upgrade process had to be done separately after purchasing a ticket. However, the new website allows customers to secure their upgraded seat at the time of purchase.
Additionally, it is now possible to pay for part of a ticket using mileage through the “cash and miles” option. Customers can also use their mileage to buy products and services in the new “mileage mall”.
The airline has also upgraded its mobile app. The new application, “Korean Air My”, focuses on services frequently used by customers and is easier to navigate with a more intuitive design.
