If I had the spare cash,I would travel purely by train,and live in hotels.

Unfortunately,I live here,and am paid in yen,oh well.

If there is a "once in a lifetime" treat experience

Tokyu and Central Japan Railway Co, passengers spend three days and four nights in the central Japan prefecture enjoying views of Mount Fuji and sampling local eel dishes among other treats.

Although tickets were pricey at 750,000 yen to 820,000 yen per person, all six tours sold out.

I'd be interested to know how many foreign tourists bought tickets. A very small percentage I'd guess, at those prices. Still, it's a good idea on the whole. I can imagine there's a reasonable domestic market for it, and anything that boosts rural areas is a positive development.
