The Peninsula Tokyo will offer guests an opportunity to stay in one of its Deluxe Rooms for 2,009 yen a night as part of the hotel's "2009 - A Year of Giving and Receiving” charity campaign.
On the 1st of July, August, September, October, November and December, guests may contact The Peninsula Tokyo from 9 a.m. and be one of 10 lucky winners to reserve a Deluxe Room for a one-night stay at the rate of 2,009 yen, including tax and service charge.
The proceeds will be included with The Peninsula’s year-end charity donations to Make A Wish Japan and local breast cancer charities in support of the hotel’s continued efforts to help terminally ill children’s dreams come true and the fight against breast cancer.
Reservations will only be accepted by phone at 03-6270-2200 and not at the hotel’s Front Desk, nor by mail, email, fax, nor by calling the Reservations Department or any other hotel phone number other than the number listed above.
Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served-basis with the first 10- callers being awarded. Only one Deluxe Room per caller will be awarded. A maximum of three people are permitted to stay. In the case that a third person stays, a roll-away bed will be provided.

Wouldn't it be better to simply lower the rate a bit, and say that for every stay 2000 yen goes to Charity ?
chotto
The number given in the article above doesn't work, anyway!
