I saw a hotel front desk guy who looked eerily like this dinosaur.

Some humans are also on call to intervene in case of glitches, which customer reviews online suggest are a not infrequent problem at check-in.

That's the problem of a booming economy, with 1.7 jobs for every job seeker. Fortunately, robot technology is here in Japan. There will be more and more hotels like this staffed in Japan by these robots who do an excellent job, and need no salary or time off! Furthermore , foreign guests are amazed at being helped by multilingual robots, tourism will be boosted.
