Hm. Rome wants to charge a fee, eh. Let's see: add Vienna to the list. And New Zealand. Oh, but when Japan does it that just is so bad. Grow up, Japanese bashers. There are fees for similar things here in the US, too. You'll see more countries and city's protect their culturally unique items. Let's face it: Tourism is good, but enough tourists spoil it for everyone.

That would be criminal because to achieve that they would have to fence off the beautiful Trevi Fountain.
The recent behavior of some tourists has been deplorable.
The best time to see it is in the middle of the night on a full moon.
