Under Trump the only part of America that won't degenerate are delicate bigots' self-esteems.

Well, just personally, several friends are changing travel plans. Changing from the US to China, Australia, New Zealand, etc. The time "isn't right" to go there now.

If I didn't live here, I'd try to avoid the USA for travel plans too, but that started after the DHS/TSA was formed and started creating hassles.

OTOH, my stock portfolio has never been higher, so there is that.

I've visited 37 of the 50 states over the years, and been to NYC twice (most recently in December 2016), but as a Canadian I'm foregoing any further visits, simply on a matter of principle because in my view the US government - not necessarily its citizens (at least those I've met, other than border and other security personnel) - has become a lot more cruel and intolerant. I've mentioned to several US friends that it seems their country is on a parallel course with the fall of ancient Rome, and they sadly shake their heads and agree.

The Chump may be good for the stock market in the short term, but unsustainable booms inevitably lead to busts, and shock waves of suffering throughout society. It took the last Republican president almost eight years to collapse the economy, but The Chump will be able to beat that record easily.

You don't want to get caught up in any of the MASS SHOOTINGS/BOMBINGS!

I guess time will tell!

Just fill out the online ESTA document at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/, and a Japanese citizen will be approved for a visit of up to 90 days. Approval comes in about 10 minutes. Welcome to the USA. Japan actually needs a similar system, and Europe is considering using it.
