Everyone involved in the Olympics are supposedly being flown in on special charter flights.

Actually, this was a tit-for-tat response to Delta's turning back a China-bound flight.

No. Some cities in China have banned all foreign flights. Air New Zealand had one turned around in flight recently when China refused to allow it in. China has banned their own airlines from serving foreign destinations as well, so the measures are not aimed specifically at the US airlines.

And this is the same country that coerced the WHO in to saying it wasn’t necessary to stop flights to/from China to stop the spread of the pandemic in the early days when the CCP were trying to hide it.
