ANA’s low cost airline, Vanilla Air, will launch flights between Hong Kong and Tokyo (Narita) on Nov 2. The Hong Kong flights will be Vanilla Air’s 3rd international route, after Taipei (Taoyuan) and Seoul (Incheon).
Vanilla Air will launch the new route with 3-weekly services until Jan 31, 2015, the frequency will increase to daily from Feb 1 until Feb 20. From Feb 21 to March 28, the route is schedule to become twice daily.
Based at Narita Airport, Vanilla Air has served over 600,000 Japanese and overseas passengers since its inauguration on 20 December 2013.

There's already Hong Kong Express, and LLC dedicated to routes to HK from japan. How much demand is there for HK anyway?
