I can't wait to see this film. It looks so good.

I want to see this.

“I was convinced from the start that this will be an original Japanese movie in its own right,”
Well, not really, but it still looks like an awesome movie, and cross-cultural adaptations, when good, are always interesting as an artform. Given Watanabe's great acting, this is going to be a huge hit here and possibly abroad.

Love Clint, love Watanabe. Both great actors. Regardless, I think the film will be good to watch. He's usually a bit more selective so I have no doubt, he can pull this off.

I read Silence more than 20 years ago; it made such a powerful impression. If the movie stays true to the book, it will garner intense reaction.

Saw the preview while waiting for the Star Trek movie to start. I can't understand Japanese well enough, but It didn't give me the same feeling as the original. I made an effort to see Unforgiven at the theatre, GREAT!
BTW, star trek sucked!
