Ex-FIFA president Blatter who awarded the games now says it was a mistake.

So, how many teams are now going to boycott the cup to be congruent with their countries policies? how many demanding these declarations to be retracted?

Sepp can say anything he likes. He got his money, what does he care about human rights?

FIFA, (IOC too) just wanna make money. These organizations aren’t there to be socially fair or helpful. It was all about the money, profits, and a nudge nudge wink wink. So glad the European leagues are pushing back against FIFA. They should be standing up for the players! And some are GAY, male and female players. Don’t award tournaments if they aren’t going to play fair and be inclusive. What century are they living in!

While his views may be objectionable, he is just using his right to free speech.

Not really surprised with his comments. This has been known for a long time. Anyone who watches the World Cup is making this view legitimate. People don’t care about other people as we have seen from the war in Ukraine. It is interesting for a moment and then back to normal.

FIFA are responsible for their own downfall.
Through the consequences of their own actions will ultimately be held accountable.
The footy version of Macbeth.
There is still two weeks to go? Yes
You think for one moment politics will not take over?

Qatar is a disastrous selection in so many ways.

What’s the problem here, when he only says his opinion in his own country? You don’t or wouldn’t complain the same mindset of them at all, when they mass immigrate, come as welcomed tourists to buy expensive souvenirs or when living in the West and preaching the same opinions in the already quite some numerous foreign countries’ mosques. By logic one could say, that you in practice spread that opinion much more than this guy does in theory by saying something in Qatar itself.

It was cut short right away - they immediately knew he messed up badly
