I considered it a blessing.

I learned that I liked not being around and tolerating some people.

I sense that, like me perhaps, too many people spent too much time on social media hiding behind an anonymous nom de guerre, fighting battles on their keyboards and failing to acknowledge the humanity of those on the other side of their screens.

Millions died but my family survived. One close relative struggling with the long covid. Nothing changed for me.

Yes undoubtedly, this pandemic, the way parliament in unison dealt with the aftermath, the lockdowns brought my families farming business close to bankruptcy.

The costs will be felt for generations to come.

The NHS well

Japan had restrictions, however they were arguably proportionate to economic necessity.

UK councils lost the plot, they had teams of Mister Magoo's staring through letter boxes at council tax payers expense.

The results are the here and now, Sunak payday loans are due for collection and Hunt is on hand to make sure you pay up.

No, none. We just dealt with it.

It’s opened my eyes to the fact that governments don’t have a clue, arbitrarily introduce unnecessary restrictions and LIE to their citizens.

I’ve become enlightened…

I definitely learned never to trust the Federal government entirely on these issues or the CDC and WHO as well. I’m more than skeptical from the handling, lockdowns, not being allowed to talk or discuss or have a different opinion about it, so the entire experience changed me to have more mistrust of the government.

many people have been changed and their behaviour as well.thnaks to daily media massages about covid cases, deaths, disturbing videos, vaccine=freedom slogans etc dont need to mention about depriving of many for their rights to not agree with gov actions/say in Canada as very good example/.

as about me I would like to say that everything bad is bringing something good at the end.many so called friends became demasked and they have showed off their true colour.so its positive outcome as well.

It's not really my personality that changed, but I too have become more enlightened. I have come to better understand that I should not trust the government to come up with good policies, medical systems to provide good treatments/prevention, and the MSM to provide honest information.

I have learned to take care of myself and my family, in terms of how to best avoid and treat Covid19. Because future waves appear likely, I just restocked up on IVM...

Fewer and fewer people are taking the stuff you're flogging, so I guess you're right about them being rational and informed, if a little late.

You mean the people that already got protected by the vaccines so they think they do no benefit from a booster? or the people that are now enjoying less measures because the widespread protection have allowed the risk to become less important?

That would prove the opposite of what you are trying to misrepresent. People can enjoy these benefits precisely because they have acted as the doctors and scientists recommended by being rational and well informed, not by irrationally claiming they are all wrong just because.

Yes. Its made me more introverted and less social. Its also given me a bit of a depression due to the reduction of martial arts dojos that STILL have not opened to pre pandemic levels.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Not quite sure how the anti-vaxxers have turned this into a debate about vaccines and IVM (is ANYBODY still buying into that fairy tale)

Changed me? No. Made me appreciate my friends and family overseas even more than before as I didn't see them for so long. If anything made me MORE social, as during the 'restrictions' here you really had to make the most of every night out in the places that did serve alcohol and enjoy the company of others. I'm pleased things are back to normal.

The changes have been many, and not good. The CCP has put it best, "Silence your heart's desire for freedom."

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Not really. I've got a natural skepticism toward people who claim to know what's best for society but don't like being questioned about their claims. If anything, all that has happened since this whole fiasco began only reinforces my intuition that the people we ostensibly elect to represent us and look after our general best interests can't be trusted in any shape or form, and treat the public with outright contempt.

Likewise, I don't think it has changed the personalities of people I know or of public figures - it has just highlighted elements of their innate character, for better or worse, that something like this will bring out.

Not in any noticeable way for most, a couple of friends had negative experiences that made them reconsider their distrust for anything the doctors recommended, but generally speaking people that have been rational and informed before continued being so right now (and got benefited from their attitude) while those that have always been "skeptic" and only listened to whatever they wanted to hear continue to do so, the pandemic became just one of the things were they do that.

My uncle's personality has totally changed. He used to be very talkative, the soul of the party in many ways. All this changed after his covid death.
