Looks like China has scrapped their 2016 ‘tomatoes & eggs’ schema to now embrace a theme of red over white.

Many perhaps still very confused Taiwan’s athletes since 2016 dress as “Chinese Taipei”. Yet, the uniforms do sport tiny, little “triangle designs, symbolic of the 100 peaks of Taiwan, giving a blessing for all the athletes to be on top and achieve great results.”

So many countries sporting combinations of red, white & blue. According to custom & tradition, white signifies ‘purity & innocence’; red, ‘hardiness & valor’ while blue signifies ‘vigilance, perseverance & justice’. It’s interesting to try to interpret which countries morally & ethically embody the traditional meanings of those colors.
