Its great, BUT I personally don't want to get it from Huawei.

Looking forward to it, but will not buy the first releases. They are almost always filled with bugs.

What is the initial aim of developing this technology? I hope it's not used for a military but used for our convenience.

I'll tell you when I see or use it!

Insane is probably not too strong a word to describe the introduction of 5G since there are no studies showing 5G to be safe. Even the military uses 5G in its Active Denial System; that's the crowd control weapon where the skin can be heated from a distance by EMF waves to cause a burning sensation.
Something like 20,000 satellites are to be launched for 5G and antennas will be required every 10-20 houses in urban areas. Once installed it will be like standing near one of those airport security scanners 24/7. The effects of microwave radiation are cumulative and it will eventually affect all living things.
"Today you can live in locations away from cell phone towers to limit exposure, that is now being taken away, it won’t matter where you live 5G will irradiate you everywhere you are. This untested new 5G system will irradiated everyone with millimeter size, non-ionizing radiation 24 hours a day, with completely unknown health effects. Such studies to investigate possible harm will take many years after these systems are fully implemented to find results."

On top of this there is the surveillance aspect of 5G and IoT. This is much more than just faster download speeds.

Current technology is fine for me. Let's me talk and chat on Line, browse the web and check Google maps when I'm cycling and the only smart device I own is my phone. So far I don't see the need for it.
