A waste of resources, and lazy people.

Better than getting hit in the face and the eyes by a parasol.

I've always thought they're dumb and like Hawk above, a total waste.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

I agree with Hawk. Besides, the traditional fans work just as well.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

I use a folding hand fan.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

In sum they are part and contribute to the problems.

Where can I get one?

I have one of those, it also has a flashlight and a power bank function (the brand is Jisulife). I never needed the fan because of how weak it is. Even on max power, the most coverage you get is from your face to your neck and it can run for about an hour in that setting. It's also got some heft. I agree with hawk, it's a waste of good lithium ion that could've been used for more critical stuff. and, lazy people. Just fan yourselves.

I'd rather go old school and carry one of those old folding fans that people back in the day used to carry often. Never runs out of batteries, I can fan my entire torso and head in one go and it can be fixed.

My kids have one, they got it from hoopla at a local festival.

Like most stuff sold in Mega Donki type shops, its pretty much junk.

You need to be careful though, there have been reports of those things exploding, although rare, its good to be aware. make sure when you buy them they are from a reputable company

I agree with everyone in saying it’s a waste of money, I’d rather spend that time and energy in finding a cooler area nearby (indoor or shade area outside). Also, I was advised that certain cheap models have had incidents of blowing up in the past.

Holding one up to your face and carrying it around uses up even more energy and causes more heat.

Hey, if it works for them then it works for them. Don't use it if you don't like it. Ta da

I don’t own or use them, folding fan and a hand towel works for me. Sometimes the addition of a hat if it’s really sunny out. Then again, I have a pretty good tolerance for heat and humidity.

Seeing people using them doesn’t bother me, nor do the people that have the jackets with the built in fans.

I saw a "Work Clothes " store advertising "fan wear ".

Clothes with built in fans.

Lots of workers where I live seem to be using them.

Things arent getting any cooler.

It actually exacerbates the heat by blowing hot air towards you (think of aufguss in a sauna). The best thing you can do is sweat and let it evaporate while out in the sun. Though I have to admit these fans are useful when on the trains where there is minimal air circulation and the cold air from the a/c doesn't quite fill the car.

All they have to do is dress properly and the body will keep it's cool, but when someone puts on 2 or 3 layers of clothing shoulders to ankles, long sleeved, plus a MASK and LONG hair plus a hat then they will need an ice bucket on the head not a fan to keep cool.

It's crazy how some people dress and cover then carry a fan!!??

Cool. I see people using those hand held fans. But battery driving one are not cool.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Agree with the traditional hand fan posters.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Don't use it if you don't like it.

No one said they did. The question was asked though.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

complete waste of time
