Justine Trudeau tops the list for me. No one comes even close.

Juan Evo Morales Ayma.

Xi Jinping.

I'm a Justin Trudeau fan. Some things he does are too far left for me, but for the most part, I think he is pushing issues that many others are trying to cast aside these days.

No. None.

I agree on the Canadian. I also like Merkel and think her early efforts on Syrian refugees will be appreciated as time passes. Thousands or hundreds of thousands of children I think are alive now because of her.

President of Yemen is Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi

I forgot to include her for that very same reason. EXCELLENT post Reckless. And I'll second that wholeheartedly. Trudeau and Merkel. Hats off to them both

Let me correct my first post.

Justine Trudeau tops the list for me. No one comes even close.

Justine Trudeau tops the list for me. Angela Merkel comes as a close second.

I have profound respect for Merkel. When those horrible images of drowning children from Syria washing up on Italian shores, she did all she could and more.

Trudeau? Please get serious. He is a hollow shell of a politician who rode his father's name to election victory. He has no substance, no serious intellectual horsepower whatsoever. His shallow attempts at pandering to whatever lefty causes are in vogue (such as his facile decision to make his Cabinet half female) are embarrassing to Canadians. It is the equivalent of the USA electing Chelsea Clinton, or perhaps one of the Kennedys who are still lingering in politics.

As for a leader to admire, how about King Abdullah of Jordan? The man flies a Cobra attack helicopter and is special forces trained.

No.

Viktor Orban from Hungry for trying to stop invaders from Middle East and Africa. Former Czech president Klaus for his anti EU approach . Israeli PM Netanyahu for keeping terrorist out. Putin for being strong leader and not bending to the Western leaders who thought Russia is weak. Erdogan from Turkey for keeping the terrorist and communist partisans off. Singapore PMs for overall making it one of the best managed economy with very low corruption and relatively low level of socialism. Indonesia's Jokowi for stance against drug dealers. Same kudos to current President of Philippines (forgot his name).

Viktor Orban. Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump.

Victor Orban and President Trump are 2 of the better leaders today.

This was discussed on CNN at the end of last year:

Of course, you can see how times have changed, as Abe's popularity was being reported as Up on the year.
