As sexbots and sex dolls become more sophisticated and lifelike, what ethical dilemmas do you see arising? How will they affect the nature and meaning of relationships and fidelity?

In my opinion, sex dolls are just a form of masturbation, so no ethical dilemma regarding fidelity.

Sex dolls have been around for a long time. Unless the sexbots or sex dolls have become like those in the TV series “Real Humans”, I do not see there is any problem.

I don't see any ethical issues until/unless they gain sentience.

Is it that much different from porn? We've come this far, why split hairs about the ethics of humping an inanimate object? Some people love their cars or video games, or designer brand bag collections more than their partners.

I see no problem in having a sexdoll, at least not at the current state of their AI. I guess when that AI gets super advanced, there will be issues regarding consent. I guess the current problem could be issues with isolation or people feeling they don't have to be around people or develop social skills because they can always get a doll.

Do these people really think that sex-robots are really going to solve more problems than they are going to create?

I think they're going to bring a lot of people a lot of pleasure. I'm not sure whether that equates to solving a problem.

First there was the love that dare not speak its name, then variations including non-spouses, family members, mammals, children, moving pictures, electronic (and non-electronic) devices, blow-up partners, telephones, video games.

Just when everyone thought that it could not become more complicated, there evolved supposedly intelligent if non-sentient targets of love and desire.

Do these people really think that sex-robots are really going to solve more problems than they are going to create?
