Is this a serious question? Less than 2% of the population has been vaccinated, and only those who are over 65 are even eligible, other than medical workers.

Making the "arrangement" is easy, fill out a form, getting the shots are impossible, as there is not enough vaccine to go around, and not enough "authorized" people to give it!

Better to ask this question in 6 months!

My mother-in-law in Chiba spent three weeks trying to get an appointment before finally managing to make one last Friday. It's for the middle of July.

My mother in the UK had her second jab at the beginning of March.

I live in Nobeoka Shi, Miyazaki and in this prefecture you walk into your local Prefecture Health Office show proof of residency in Miyazaki Prefecture, and take a number. My family and I waited 15 mins yesterday. Got the jab and waited 30 mins to see if there were negative effects. Went home. Miyazaki has been full on with the vac since May 5.

My SIL in Kanie, Aichi has been on a waiting list for a month and she has gotten no appointment yet.

BIL in Kagoshima got the jab May 5, just walked into his family doc's office. They have been full on there since April 30.

If this is so, then the over all numbers are not being reported accurately.

Have a 71 year old friend. He got an appointment for after the Olympics. Was told his doctor was doing the Olympic thing and could not be available before that.

Maybe you can ask me next year. Or ask most of my relatives all over the world. Those who wanted it have had it already.

I got an appointment for both jabs very easily using Line.

In Tokyo, it’s definitely harder to get the vaccine. Young people probably won’t be able to get their shots until the next shipment In September. I live in Kita-ku with my grandma and I was able to get her and her friend their appointment through their website.

To be vaccinated you also need a special ticket so you basically have to wait in the mail for it to come or you can’t get the shot. the packet comes with the ticket and two forms to fill that needs to be brought to get the shot.

Some people can have older family living far from them which could not be aware that they could use this way of reservation. I mean lot of people are taking reservation for their elder based of the information the elder told them regarding reservation.If the elder do not get some of the reservation option it could have foreseen them.

Here on Okinawa, my wife's mother was offered an appointment in June. My wife got a card a week ago but it was for July or so. We opted to take the Moderna jab back in Feb from the military. They had two tents set up on Camp Foster outside the Navy Hospital with 6 corpsmen in each tent doing an assembly line process. We were jabbed and while we waited the 15 minutes for any negative reaction we watched about 60 more people flow through. The second shot was a repeat of the first time. The only reaction we had was a sore arm with a warm spot around the needle puncture for a day and a half. I asked several of the staff if anyone had had a severe reaction, and they said no. There have been no instances of anyone reported on local social media as well. The shot will make some people a bit sick and feverish for a day, but even that is rare.
