Not at all.

It's easy, stay away from your phone or log off from your email. There will always be an urge to check and you need to take that temptation away

Days off? What are those? I look at my emails everyday, as needed. Doesn't take much time, and may help when an emergency comes up.

If you enjoy your work, there is no harm in checking. As long as you don't forget family comes first.

Not at all. On a proper holiday, work emails, social media and all the rest go ignored.

Not so difficult, I think. Just turn off your mobile phone or switch the airplane mode on. I think the important thing is that how far away you mobile devices from you. Today, large numbers of people in our society are involved in the 2 dimentional field, eliminating 3 dimentional experiences such as having conversation with family members, stopping to think about yourself or feeling natures around you to be relaxed. The more hours you engage in the electronic devies, the less time you are as a person. Let's turn yours off to be yourself.

Depends on my job at the time. Currently, it is really easy. Work email can only be accessed using a VPN and not enabling the work VPN is really easy.

At work, we have a 24-hour expected turn-around for email. If a quicker answer is needed, then a voice phone call is expected or a meeting/call for after hours must be scheduled. Sometimes in my business we have to work overnight on weekends.

I never look at e mails on my days off. They stay on the company provided laptop only.

Out of interest I once worked for a US company that , by policy, said every employee had to take 2 weeks off continuous vacation and during that time period not access any company computers, websites, phones or similar. It was a fraud prevention technique and even the big execs had to follow it. Loved that policy.

I only have sundays off usually so not hard to tune everything out for a day. I need to give my family time too

Its not that hard, even if you "check" it, could always just respond to the urgent ones as you see fit.

I'm freelance so I check it every few hours but if my kids are home (evenings and weekends) I only respond to something if its truly urgent. I always put my phone away in my office before I go to bed.

I am also a freelance so I don't have days off.

That's not very considerate of your social media followers, Toasted :D

Very easy to not look. I am on vacation now and until I read this, I had not even given it any thought. Easier for those of us who were already adults and working long before the invention of e-mails to do that I think. My computer and smartphone are not integral parts of my life or identity.

Simple. I stopped using my phone for work when my work refused to pay for my phone. If it was that important to them, they would cough up the money for me to work on my time off.

Well, these days my work no longer includes having to use social media. It's purely a "social" thing.

I'm no longer "on call", as it were.
