Japan will lose every game in their group unless some sort of miracle happens. They lost to Ghana, which is a team made up of guys who play for clubs in Africa except for a couple, but Senegal has some serious talent. Poland and Columbia will easily move on.
Japan’s squad is just too old and not very physical.
True, and I'm envious of that. But while there may be some bitterness, for many I think there is simply the dread of what happens on the media if the team does well. I think many foreigners in Japan will sometimes share that feeling - total irrationality breaks out on TV. Here in Scotland, having to listen to commentators arguing that "it was never a foul" or "he was clearly onside" when you can see it was a 50-50 decision starts to irritate.
Anyway, it's just a game, and hoping your nearest rivals take a gubbing doesn't mean we don't enjoy watching the skills of their players.
According to transfermakt, Japan has one of the least valuable squad at this wc (and the least expensive of their group). If I were Japan's coach I would try to turn the underdog tag to our advantage and ask the boys to play without pressure, have a crack and see what happens. Nothing to lose really.
Don't worry guys, England will join Japan on the plane home after crashing out of the group stage.
Bit of a sad posting history there Sean. Slagging off England/Britain on Japan Today seems a strange choice; why not just go to the British media and slag them off there?
Japan can't win all those matches but can draw and possibly win Senegal. If Senegal loses the matches to Poland and Colombia, and Poland loses the match to Colombia. Poland and Senegal draw. Colombia will be the first and Japan can be the second to go up due to scores. But it's just a dream-come-true if well simulated.

I will be supporting Japan but I fear, as others have said, they will not win a single game.
I do hope I am wrong though.
Go Japan!

Wenger out!

Japan will not progress past the first round.
As for England, even quarter finals sounds good these days, but I think that they can do it, but the draw makes progress beyond that look hard.

At least they got the plane there.
Ah, the bitter, twisted, rattle-out-of-the-pram-throwing nastiness of the countries of the union staying at home...again.
The highlight of the World Cup.
Don’t worry. When they expand it to 48 teams you might get there. Then again, maybe not.

I think there's a good chance they'll make it to the World Cup. Go Japan!

Japan loses all three matches and return home early.
