I wrote and mailed two "thank you" notes to prospective customers two weeks ago. I even wrote them with a fountain pen.
It's great to do this in Japan, but it's a waste of time in the US. I mailed these In the US and one never got to the (same) desitination. One out every two pieces I mail in or to the US disappears.
An actual letter, with like paragraphs and everything--19 years ago. The year I gave an old PC to Moms. You know you're when you can remember sending long love letters to girls. That stopped in 1995.
From that point on it's been strictly email. Of course, we still send/receive cards.

Hmm, maybe 27yrs.
Never was a big writer of letters.
Prefer e-mail over SNS, been using Voice/Video chat mostly. Free as all my global family and friends adopted fiber early.
