If you were to bury a time capsule to be opened 100 years from now, what items would you put in it that would give whoever found it in 2122 some idea of what life was like in 2022?

Something to show what life is like in 2022?

Obvious answer...... a great big number two.

A driving licence.

Orwell's 'Nineteen Eighty Four', a digital copy of my music/MV collection on a solar-powered player, a tin of freeze-dried tea, a map with the location of Fukushima Daiichi marked with a skull and crossbones, and a packet of Lotus seeds.

A mobile phone. Plus photographs of Sir Jimmy Saville, Sir Rolf Harris and Prince Andrew. Also, a vaccination certificate. And a lump of coal.

A French language Michelin restaurant guide. That will teach them that there still were happy gatherings of people, outside restaurants, delicious food and drinks, lot of traffic and travel everywhere, culture and civilization, noblesse, many other languages than the remaining one or two, and so on. Well , they all can’t read books then anyway and will most probably only use it for illegal fireplaces in their cave or slum if it isn’t already warm enough in their climate changed winters, or they use all the time capsule findings as a kind of exchanging money for something last to eat or so.

A needle, a qr code and a medi hotel dinner set.

ThonTaddeo beat me to it. If I'm gonna add something aside from a smart phone, it would probably be those wireless earphones, smart watches. If humanity still exists then, I wonder how far technology would have gone.

A smartphone spewing out notifications every few seconds. As convenient as today's phone technology is, I suspect (and hope) that in future decades we will see what a toxic effect they are having on people's mental health.

Expecting humanity to be around in 2122, optimistic.

All my bills. At least, that's what I've been doing so far.

A mask, a PCR test, and one of the vaccine shots. Oh and maybe one of those social distancing signs along with one of the witty wear a mask when entering xyz shop signs.

A mask and a lateral flow test, obviously.
