Star team.

As a tennis player, I will make an analogy with tennis doubles: pair Federer and Nadal, arguably the greatest players of all time and current No. 1 and 2, against the top doubles specialists (I would choose Bryan brothers here): my bet is on the Bryans.

Whoever wins on that particular day. There are no guarantees in sports.

A star team will usually win because they are in top form and functioning as a unit (the All Blacks in rugby union are a good example)

If you were to select say...the best 10 rugby players in the world, how many would be New Zealanders?

In my lifetime, the most amazing thing I saw on this topic was Maradona in the 1986 Mexico World Cup. If you’d have put him in any side in the last 16, they probably would have won it.

A star team will usually win because they are in top form and functioning as a unit (the All Blacks in rugby union are a good example). A team of stars (those so-called Dream Teams) will do well, but sometimes their egos get in the way of teamwork or their playing styles don't mesh.

Maybe it's just my lacking knowledge of sports, but... What? What is the difference?
