In this era of movies being streamed online, do you still like to go to the cinema for some movies?

Of course!

I just no longer take a risk on an expensive ticket for a movie that I don't know I will like.

Absolutely !

No matter the convenience of streaming, it will never be the same experience as watching a movie in a cinema.

For sure!

Nothing is better than the communal experience of seeing a film on the big screen. Works best for the popcorn blockbusters but occasionally the quiet films as well.

I've gotten to love Japanese cinema venues. Your typical auditorium here is clean and bereft of the noise merchants, rowdy teens and mobile phone users that tended to blight UK cinemas. Unless you went to see subtitled films/world cinema/indies. The audience at those showings knows how to enjoy a film. Catching a double bill at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith was a treat, in that regard.

The other good thing about cinema here is the cheapness and comfort involved. You have to shell out an arm and a leg at your typical VUE if you want a comfy seat.

Stopped going 15 years ago and never looked back.Sure a huge screen is nice. But if I wanna take a leak, refill my drink or whatever, being able to pick up where i left off and at home can't be beat.

Not so much lately. I'll mostly look for Sci-Fi flicks but Star Trek Into Darkness ruined that experience back in 2013. So when Blade Runner 2049 came out, I avoided it. Wish I hadn't because it was one of the best I've seen in a long time.

I miss the popcorn.

Sare predictable story formula, good wins over bad, good looking guy wins girl, blah blah the end.. Torrent or Amazon prime is a better option these days or 4D cinema if it's really good

Over 60"" Oled TV

Awesome Speakers Around

Sleeping Sofa

Mini Fridge and Food

Me Myself or with my girl.

I win by far margin over any Cinema Hall in this world. I win happily.

Only in the VIP or Platinum suites you get in places like Singapore.

The cinemas here aren't bad. Still have no idea why everyone likes to sit through ten minutes of credits at the end though...

Oh yes, but it's an occasional treat rather than a regular outing. I do like being able to buy tickets online. The last film I saw was Koreeda Hirokazu's Shoplifters, but before that, I hadn't been for over a year.

I think that thete arestill some movies which are best on the big screen.

My favorite example is the charriot race in Ben Hur. Made without computers, it has to be watched at the cinema to be appreciated. On a laptop, it just does not work.

Lol, we go to theaters that serve food and drinks to your table while watching the movie
