June has no national holiday in Japan. If there were to be a national holiday, do you have any suggestions what it should be for?

I'd suggest we adopt the US celebration traditionally carried out on March 14th.

This year there are no holidays in October and December either as Sports Day was moved from Oct to July for the all important 2020 Bubble Olympics. Next year June and December won’t have holidays. JT’s question should be: What Two holidays should be made?

June: The day Every Company was required to give two weeks vacation to employees and not count Shogatsu and Golden Week Day.

December: The day elementary, junior high, and high school class size was limited to 15, teachers weren’t required to work 80 hours a week, and could teach to the student, and students weren’t bullied Day.

There is no holiday in December either, so, seeing as how the spring and summer solstice are holidays, just make the summer and winter one's holiday's too, and all the bases are covered!

OK, you Celts, we got an opportunity to introduce the SOLSTICE to people who celebrate a Lunar calendar. First, we build a miniature Stonehenge around Shibuya Crossing (foam, OK?). Then, at a time set perhaps by a strong Jinja, whatever traditions, rites, practices, behaviors, safe and mostly legal, which will mark the joy of the 'longest day', will be born. 'Clothes-optional' may be a hard sell, but a little beer to fuel the red-faced, pasty white bodied celebrants and their equally bemused fundoshi clad slightly more healthy colored brethren in songs of brotherhood, love, and more beer...YES! SOLSTICE! DANCE EVERYONE DANCE! Just a thought...

There is no national holiday in Japan so what is the point of the question ?

It is "public sector holiday".

Just add 15 paid holidays to every workers with these routed to be used during public sector holidays if the company need it or another time if the company need people to work. And make New Year period (from December 31th to January 3th) as a real national holidays with company needing people to work having to compensate them for that (compensatory paid holidays, 25% salary increase, ... ). And obviously enforce it : cut the limit of validity of paid holidays, have some kind of system to make companies willing to have their staff use their paid holidays regularly (increase over time of no-use, economical penalties channeled to health/pension/unemployment service, ...).

Nah, it's because of how companies figure out their days off. They give 2 days a week off, which comes out to 104 days a year, but seeing as how not all months have an exact number of Saturdays and Sundays, people end of having to work on weekends.

Japan needs to make an official 5 day work week, as in Monday through Friday, then if a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday would be a day off, just like what happens when a holiday falls on a Sunday and the following Monday is off!

National useless government employee day.

Everyone has the day off except government workers, that way we can go get stuff done without having to take a day off work unpaid.

I would call this Holliday "過労死による死亡の防止" and and requires all japanese companies to abide and give holiday time!

The “I’m sick of this weather, please let me stay home” day. June = 90 - 100% humid plus rain = worst weather of all time.

National stay home and be with your family day. With law that all employees must have the day off. Every thing can close for one day so people can rest.

No more public holiday is necessary. In fact, Japan has already many holidays and transferred day-off (when a holiday hits either day of weekend, the next Monday becomes an extra holiday). A holiday forms crowds and queues in many parts of public spaces and events. A holiday makes people in service industries get busier, rest less.

Instead, please ensure paid-leave for all working individuals, and disperse and "individuate" holidays to avoid big crowds and inconveniences.
