Open all hours. Two Ronnies. Porridge. Anything British American attempts at humour are laughable!
Ah_so
Peep Show - a work of comedic genius.

I only really liked two shows, Gilligan's island and Whose line is it anyways. Colins and Ryan from the latter show never failed to crack me up with their skits. Those were the good ole days. I stopped watching TV for a while.

Disagree, pretty sure many/most countries make decent tv comedies.
Humour doesn't always translate well though hence it's pretty normal that most of JT -mostly- anglophone readers have never watched/understood/liked/been exposed to other countries' tv comedies.

An advantage of being Canadian is being able to appreciate humor on both sides of the Atlantic. Makes the world twice as funny:

Not really. I remember an elderly Japanese commentator on a Japanese TV show about the life of Harold Lloyd said, "Only the British and Americans can be like that. Us Japanese, Germans or others take ourselves too seriously."

Each to their own. And given the dearth of much decent to watch on Aussie TV in the late 80s and early 90s it was one of the better offerings, especially their earlier series.

The Mighty Boosh, IT crowd, Office, extras, Life's too short, Plebs (uk), stupid stupid man & very small business (oz).
Ah_so
Kryonstavic - I can only imagine that you are joking. It doesn't even rate as a top 70 British sketch show - perhaps one of the worst.

Very British or American. Doesn't anybody else make comedy?
I'll throw in Father Ted from Ireland to even things out a bit.
It was actually a British comedy, but set in Ireland with an Irish cast and still hilarious 20 years later.
