I think that if they make less power than what is needed, then there will be what is called a shortage.
If they make enough then there will be no shortage.
I am however almost 100% sure that after the summer, this forum will still argue whether there was a shortage or not. And if there was one, whose fault was it?
Obviously, if there's not enough electricity to go around, then that can possibly lead to shortages. On the other hand, if there is more energy than people can use, most people will find enough electricity when they turn on their power at home. Of course, this can be impacted by things such as sun spots and other transient events like national pachinko tournaments.

"Nobody seems...." it's shocking, i thought only JT readers (foreigners) were doubtful of power shortage.

I think that nobody seems to be able to agree on whether or not there will be a power shortage this summer.

I think that everyone agrees that no one can agree whether there will be power shortages or not this summer.
