Should governments alert people to every new coronavirus variant that shows up?

Inform rather than alert. Governments should be given very few reasons to keep back information.

Yes. People have the right to know. The rest… it’s up to the individual. Whatever you wanna do, and how you do it, it’s up to you; just respect/don’t judge other people’s choices/opinions.

Yes! I would add that media to not overhype things like these and say them as it is. Crying wolf too often will lead to the people getting tired of being alerted.

Covid 19 is now endemic. Do governments regularly alert people of new influenza strains? How many people had even heard of RSV before this winter?

Masks, plastic, are not effective. Covid is no longer a death sentence, more like influenza for the usual demographics. We need to see FACES for a normal society.

As the days go on, it feels like it's as if we are children unable to make a decision for ourselves. Needing that perfect regiment / diet spoon fed to us. Well I don't think it's necessary, I think people can make up their own minds.
