About as successful as the last 10 "campaigns" they did. 3-4 big companies will do it at first and they will try to get the ball rolling. If it doesn't, everyone will forge about this and we will be hearing about Terrific Tuesday's in 2018

Agree. What's the incentive for companies to do this? do they get a tax break, or a monetary wrist slap? Is there ANY incentive for them to do that?

Even if they can implement this, which is highly unlikely, it is a feeble policy. Once a month? That's it? How about once a week? And let each company decide what day they let their employees out at 3 pm, so that people are not all out and about on the same day at the same time.

And one more thing. Many companies (like mine for instance) has a mon-sat work week with sundays sometimes on as well. A VERY important policy to purse is to make sure that NO ONE is being made to work 6-7 days a week. That's FAR more important than a once a month go home at 3 measure.

Waste of time. Sounds like something junior high school students would create.

@Aly. Well said!

One company I asked laughed and said no, they weren't going to participate. Why? It's just two hours a month. We have customers to talk to and paperwork to finish. I fear many companies will say the same thing.

The OLs, however, especially the married ones with kids, want it to happen so the company is going to allow women with children to leave early on Premium Friday. (They already have the ability to leave at 5:00.)

As long as the bosses don't drag staff out to a booze party instead of them enjoying the early finish I'm sure it could be popular.

There isn't too much dragging at my place of work on a Friday. Many of them would trample over their own mothers to get to a happy hour.

One more vacation with everyone off at the same time. That is just like all the holidays and lunch time. Stupid

Two elements have to change. Double the minimum wage. Only worked the hours your paid for. That extra work you are doing is free profit in the Owners pocket. Instead the profit should be of employing another worker on a decent wage or improving your wage !! You have to have to coin to spend not the time before sales go up. most major town have 24 opening.
