Never seen that on any bucket list before. Probably today its more it like Birkenhead-on-Sea than the old Birkenhead-get-your-brains-bashed-in? Still very close to one of the most beautiful places in Britain, the Wirral and the River Dee.
Hull, interesting, European City of Culture, last year, 2017.
For myself I think Kamchatka, an East Asian Russian version of a bubbling steaming Hawaii that looks like a place which was in the beginning of the world. Limited tourists access.
Austria and Hungry. And any small fishing camp in Northern Canada for a week in the summer. Walleye...Yummy! Oh, and a tour of New Zealand's southern island with a definite stop at Lake Tekapo for the night sky.
A few of you got voted down, so I voted you back up. Can't understand why anyone would thumbs-down a simple choice of possible vacation spots.
At any rate, after visiting Japan every year for the past ten, I've been thinking of other destinations, like Argentina, Tuscany, western France (Bordeaux and Burgundy, where some of my ancestors came from), a family castle with golf course in Scotland, Samoa, and Australia.
I have seen a lot, but I would have to say Brazil is high on my list. Something that is more likely I haven’t seen Southeast Asia. Singapore is a place I consider moving to.
My dream is to visit Hobitton in NZ one day, but that probably won’t happen.
A more realistic, achievable goal is to visit Hokkaido in summer, Yakushima or river Shimanto. Japan for me is foreign country and there are so many nice places to see.
Cuba eh....well there hasn't been much development since the end of the revolution in 59, so it would be like going back in time.

visit Hokkaido in summer
We rented a camp car a few years back and drove around Hokkaido for 10 days. I highly recommend it. Started out at Asahikawa and went north. Even went horseback riding up there. Two things that stand out, the fog blowing of the Okhotsk sea onto land along the highway, and a deer walking through our camp in the early morning hours at Shiretoko National Park. Stayed away from Sapparro, but we were there in winter a few before that. Hope you get to go.

I was so close to doing it last year. Hopefully I can still do it sometime.

I want to travel all around Australia and New Zealand.
I'd also love to visit Venice and Madrid

@Aly
Really? Try Ravenna and Girona instead. Everything you’d want from Italy and Spain, without the crowds.
Can’t comment on Australia/New Zealand. Never tried Hull?
