Eat and drink less, duh.

eat lots of fiber (or just search for foods that suppress the appetite) before going to a party, it will fill you up longer and wont cause you to eat too much.

I know it is hard to find someone with this special action these days, hiwevee SELF CONTROL goes a long way. Someone hands you food, or drinks, don't be a yes man!

We eat the same amounts of foods, just some different ones. Very little alcohol but some wine and sake.

Nothing wrong with a bit of overindulgence at the end of the year. Just don’t be stupid.

Don't go to the parties.

Self-control? Accountability? Being a miserable sod?

I would strongly advise against all of these. It's Christmas - get stuck in!

Don't get so drunk that you cross the sexual harassment boundaries! This includes ladies as well!

Just opt out. Celebrate Xmas if you must, but that doesn't mean you're obliged to over indulge.

It's CHRISTmas, not DRUNKmas. Have a good time, but practice "all things(not otherwise prohibited) in moderation. Yep, exercise a bit of self-discipline.

Christmas-New Year party season? Not in Japan. Better say, Bonenkai and Shinnenkai. Some companies pay to you to get together (especially to drink), traditional otsukaresama and ganbaroukai. There are good meaning on that but to avoid too much drinking served from other co-workers to feel happy the moment or you'll find at the hospital or police station next morning.

Avoid getting too drunk by eating so much you don't have room for anything else.

Avoid overeating by drinking so much you pass out early in the night and are too hungover to eat much the following days.

Problems solved.
