Japanese TV drama Good Luck (2003). A story of a young pilot to be a professional one struggling with hardships and developing partnerships. At the time of days the drama has been on the air, the rating of it was around 35 percent. It is surprising number considering that the recent ratings are around 10 percent. Also, this drama gave me a hope to be a professional pilot. Thanks to it, I have been able to work hard for that.
I don't binge watch because I have a life I'm interested in but there are some shows that were on US TV that I can watch an episode or two of in the evenings if they're available on a streaming platform or the Youtubes.
Becker
Cheers
Fraiser
Friends (especially after reading Matthew Perry's book)
the old Newhart shows
Red Dwarf (I realize this is a UK show)
and Cracker (staring Robbie "Hagrid" Coltrane - another UK show).
Don't watch TV but recently found an actor, Bud Spencer, whose '70s movies (there're, like, a dozen) are available for free on Youtube. Like popcorn, I can't get enough. Here's one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfqGsJulmlY
I only like those older ones, Columbo, Miami Vice, Clueless, Buffy the vampire slayer or Married..with children and such. I have absolutely no idea, when I nowadays switch programs landing into a newer one, why many people like it so extremely much or even can stand viewing all that garbage for more than ten minutes of the first episode.
Do not understand why the down votes? It is each persons individual preference, yep many would not be my choice but that doesn’t make it wrong, it is right for them.
Don’t binge watch but if old favourites come on and there is nothing else I want to see/do then I still enjoy Dads Army, Morse, there are probably others but I can’t think of them at the moment.
Binge watching is different for all of us. For me it is two episodes at night, maybe a third in the early evening as a treat, max. I'm usually working.
Agree with exexalien. 'The Simpsons' is always watchable. Remarkable how they kept the standard up.
Not sure about binge watching, per se. I can do it once for sure, but after that if I rewatch a series it tends to be at a much slower pace and while doing something else. That said, series I have watched a few times are; Fringe, Breaking Bad, and there are a few others, and while not "binge watching" in a sequential order, I still often put Seinfeld on while doing something else and kind of half watch/listen to it as I do the things I'm doing.
I'm with smithinjapan on this one. I often watch/ listen to Star Trek TOS/ NG, Seinfeld, Big Band Theory... They provide a nostalgic and soothing background when doing something else. Very therapeutic.
I don't re-binge entire series. But, I can watch individual episodes of older series such as Seinfeld, Simpsons, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Babylon 5, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Time Tunnel, and any of the Star Trek series through Enterprise.
Newer series' episodes aren't usually self-contained. They are part of serialized season-long story arcs. So watching individual episodes isn't very enjoyable. But, older drama episodes, with the exception of the occasional 2 or 3 episode arc, were usually self-contained. (Babylon 5 and Deep Space 9 had long arcs. But, the individual eps could stand on their own with self-contained plots, as well.)

I can binge watch once but I can't imagine binge watching over and over again? I feel like I might need to reassess my life if that were the case.

Adventure Time and Spongebob Squarepants. I watch them if my mind needs to go on a vacation.

The ORIGINAL Twilight Zone was top-notch TV. Same for Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

The Golden Girls. I don't even remember how many times I've cycled through the entire series but it's always re-watchable.

Father Ted. I watch the series once every 6 or 7 years. Still makes me laugh.

Back in the day, I lived on Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies in southern Europe. They were unknown in the States but wildly popular there.
