As they say in the US: it's the economy, stupid!

Constitution. LDP's draft constitution. https://www.jimin.jp/policy/policy_topics/pdf/seisaku-109.pdf

第九条の二 我が国の平和と独立並に国及び国民の安全を確保するため、内閣総理大臣を最高指揮官とする国防軍を保持する。

Article 9-2 To secure the peace and independence of the Nation and the safety of the Nationals, the Nation maintains a Military with the Prime Minister as its Supreme Commander.

第十二条 この憲法が国民に保障する自由及び権利は、国民の不断の努力により、保持されなければならない。国民は、これを濫用してはならず、自由及び権利には責任及び義務が伴うことを自覚し、常に公益及び公の秩序に反してはならない。

Article 12 The liberty and human rights secured in this Constitution must, by the continual efforts on the part of the Nationals, be maintained. The Nationals must not abuse their human rights and must bear in mind that their liberty and human rights are accompanied with duties and must not, without exception, contradict the official interest and the order of the public.

If LDP coalition wins 2/3 majority in the Upper House election, with 2/3 majority in the Lower House they already have, this draft constitution is likely to be enacted.

Abenomics, Article 9, the security law, nuclear reactors, and the TPP.

If the opposition takes the opposite view on everything the LDP does, they'll have an excellent chance. If not, there will be no main issues in Sunday's Upper House election, and the LDP will prevail.

Let's just say that my list of non-issues would be much, MUCH shorter.

This should be an important issue and should not over looked. The dead can not be reborn in Tohoku. This is a serious problem
