What do you think of airlines' frequent flyer programs?

I think workers who have many business travels in an year can benefit from it. On the other hand, other workers like me (teacher of a school) have less opportunities to earn from and utilize it. So, please make that program easier to earn and use.

I've never flown enough to ever had frequent flyer miles, but over the years I've observed the airlines change the rules and rewards many times.

Fine print says they can change the rules.

Worst rule change ever from United was when they stopped unlimited travel mile transfers between family members. I quit flying them when that happened.

Life without the lounges, shorter lines, occasional upgrade would be pretty terrible when I travel internationally nearly every month.

Any good read of the fine print can show just how good the programs are toward users.
