What do you think of some of the beverages sold in vending machines and stores in Japan? Seen anything really bizarre?

Hot soup in can is really bizarre for me but very convenient. It's a light and warming snack. Oh, and there's calpis. While I respect the people who love that drink, I never really got to acquire that taste

The strangest I saw was a bottle of Nihonshu with hornets inside. I haven't dared try it yet.

Indeed.  The 4 liter in the conbini is a lifesaver for the after party.

Perfect, on a night-shift, the vending machine outside is a life saver.

Those 4-litre plastic bottles of whisky are perfect for the lawnmower. I have a Suffolk Punch four stroke single cylinder.

I love the 4-litre plastic bottles of whisky and shochu in the supermarket. No pretense whatsoever. My local izakaya has them sitting on the counter. No pouring it into a glass bottle with a decent label on the side. We are going to give you a shots of paint stripper, you will get drunk, it will rot your guts, and if you don’t like it, you can p### off.
